Hello prayer warriors, 1. Prayer note: pray without ceasing [1 Thessalonians 5:17] Pray without ceasing. How can we pray without ceasing? Don't we need to eat, to drink, to work and how can we pray at the same time? Sometimes I come before God and I "try" to build up His presence by praying, praising, etc and making myself spiritual. But I need to be conscious that whatever I do, His presence is there. I can't run from Him and there is no where to hide. [John 14:16-17] 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter,that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. When I leap out of bed in the morning, when I brush my hair, when I drive, when I work, the Holy Spirit is there with me. I can either be conscious of His presence and communicate with Him in everything, when I am alone or when I'm with my friends and with clients, or I can ignore Him. If I am always conscious of His presence and if I can visualize Him standing or sitting next to me, I can then understand the concept of praying without ceasing and practice what Paul exhorted the Thessalonians to do. 2. New prayer requests: i. Daughter joins cult -- myharley Please say a prayer for your 19 year old daughter who joined a cult. We pray for her safety and that the good lord will shine upon her and she will someday see what has happened. She has disowned her family, friends, and neighbors. Only wishes to be with her boyfriend and his sister who is in this cult. We're moving -- d_korie We are moving to a little town in South Texas called Rockport and I am scared to death. My mom says that we will get closer or farther apart. Both of my parents aren't Christians and I am really spiritual. I love them and I have tried to ask them if they would even think about accepting Jesus, but they have no reply. What should I do to make this move easier and how am I going to help my parents? I am a very hard worker, diligent, sufficient!!! Every time a increase is brought up, I get all types of excuses!! My patience has become very short. And I know that God will meet my needs according to his riches,However I desperately need the Holy Spirit to intercede on my behalf as it relates to my job. Someone's heart will be touched and moved to see that I am a single parent raising two lovely boys. But sometimes it's so hard!! God has been my strength through this!
