        (03/30/2000) Faith comes

hello prayer warriors

1. prayer note: faith comes

How does faith come? How do we GET faith?
[Romans 10:17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God.

In the original Greek, the word used was the word of
Christ.

[Hebrews 12:2] Looking unto Jesus the author and
finisher of our faith;

He is the author of our faith. Faith comes when we let
Jesus into our lives and we start hearing the Word of
God. How do we hear the word of God? We've covered
that in our previous prayer emails on how to hear the
voice of God.

Jesus speaks to us and we hear His rhema word when we
are reading the bible, hearing a message, etc. and
faith drops into our heart because we hear the Word
personally for ourselves. We can rise up and catch the
Word and take possession of it in our lives. We are
transformed by that Word and something changes. Not
the situation first, but our hearts first. Because we
start believing and seeing what He has promised us in
His word and not the situation.

His Word has creative force and His Word creates the
hope and the new vision for the situation and then the
miracle happens. To get more faith, we need to read
His Word and listen and let Him speak to us and let
Him, the author of our faith, plant that vision into
our hearts.

What do we do when we receive this Word and faith
comes?

[Habakkuk 2:2-3]
2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the
vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run
that readeth it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but
at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it
tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it
will not tarry.

Write the vision down, write the promises down, write
the Word down, write the prophecies down. Get an
expensive and good book to write it on, so that you
won't just simply throw the book around. Whenever
things are going tough and you forget, read it again
and hold on to God's promises. Do not give up but
believe and receive.

2. New prayer request:
i. friends -- sandy
a request was made to me from a good friend and family
member. Gerald Miller has recently lost his twin
brother to a car accident last saturday.although they
both are christians, and well on the way to
freedom,Gerald describes it as a major loss,like
someone "took his shoes and still left the mountains
to climb".being a twin myself i fully understand how
he feels.but only our Lord can make all of you feel
the pain.
this request is also for me,after my friend "flapp"
lost his mother,it seems to get difficult to look at
these troubles from God's point of view.

2. Prayer update
i. update on Gideon -- melissa
The doctor has given bad reports on Gideon. He has
another infection besides the yeast infection and the
doctors do not know what it is. His blood pressure is
down and he is on a special machine for his oxygen.
The doctor says that his lungs are getting worse.

Melissa has been having a lot of other problems too.
Her home has molds in the walls and it is causing
everyone to get sick. She and her husband are having
severe headaches from this and one of her sons has
high fever and seizures. She has to move out and get a
new home.

She's having a host of other problems and she is
finding it very difficult to cope. Please pray for her
and she said that she would love to hear from anyone
who wants to encourage her.

3. Continue to pray for:
i. dot's daughter, Rebecca -- dot
My oldest daughter, Rebecca, and I are having some
difficulty. She has left home with her 2 year old
daughter and ran off to Utah with a total stranger.
She goes through this every 2 years and usually hits
rock bottom before she calls for help. I'm having a
hard time dealing with this - as this is the 3rd time
she's done this.
