hello prayer warriors
1. prayer note: prayer warriors [Judges 6:12] When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior." (NIV) Notice anything different in this mail. I'm calling all of us prayer warriors. Some of us may say, I am hardly a prayer warrior. How can I be a warrior when I am so weak in prayer and in warfare, etc. etc? Well, God is wonderful. He doesn't see us as we see ourselves. [Romans 4:16,17] 16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Abram was called Abraham (which stands for "father of many nations" even when he was old and his wife was barren). Simon, otherwise known as a reed, was called Peter (a rock) [John 1:42] God saw Gideon as a mighty warrior and called him as such. But how did Gideon see himself? [Judges 6:15] "But Lord," Gideon asked, "how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family." (NIV) But Gideon in the end did become what God had called him, just like Abraham by faith received his name. So, I think it is important to see ourselves and to call ourselves as what God can see in us (our potential) and not as how we see ourselves: this is our declaration of faith. 2.
