hello prayer partners 1. Prayer Note: calling on the name of God [Exodus 20:7] Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain When we pray, we call on the name of God, sometimes to bless and sometimes even to curse a person. We need to remember and revere His name and know that God is not our servant. He is the Lord God and we His servants. We use His name only to bless people and not to curse. When we call upon His name, let us revere His name and not use His name for our own personal purposes. I've just read a very good book on the Names of God and I find that it is wonderful to call on His different names in different situation. His uncle received Christ: Thank you all for praying in agreement with me especially bc and all the prayer partners in this site. It is through your committed prayers that God moved mightily. My uncle accepted Christ within the first few hours that I met up with him. Hallelujah! Here's the effect of your faithful prayers that I wanna share with all of you brothers and sisters: the Lord impressed upon me to go back to my hometown and preached the Gospel to my uncle. I made up mind to go as I also wanted to see my uncle saved. As the date approaches, doubts and apprehension began to crept into me. In my perception, my uncle wasn't the type that will receive the Good News with open arms. I went back anyway with no expectation (my mistake to distrust in Him). I prayed in the spirit the whole journey back. I thanked God that I will be able to behold His miraculous hands upon my uncle's salvation. As my uncle was working the night shift in a petrol kiosk, I went straight there upon my arrival. I helped him to pump gas there for a while. I was talking to God in my heart. I said to Him: "This is Your battle and I want to be Your vessel and I want to see us win this round. Lord please, let this soul be saved. It is my strong desire to see my uncle saved. Please God, in Jesus, name". I didn't even know what to do after that as I thought I can't even find an opening to start talking about Jesus. But we serve a mighty God and He is in the midst of us. And He provided the opening. To cut a long story short, my uncle got saved [Rom 10:9] on that night itself and the Lord even provided a Bible for him and I explained the first few chapters of Luke to him before I headed back. Guide him Lord, show him Your love and will, protect him with Your hedge of protection, let Your wall of fire surround him, let the Blood of Jesus flow from the crown of his head to the sole of his feet. Wazza has posted a prayer update on Linda's leg MY SISTER IN-LAW WENT IN FOR SURGERY ON HER LEG. THEY FOUND THAT HER MAIN NERVE WAS BEING CRUSHED BY 2 OF HER MUSCLES, MAKING HER LEG FEEL LIKE A TON. HE RELIEVED THE NERVE, AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 4 MONTHS SHE HAS BEEN ABLE TO FEEL HER TOES. HOWEVER, THE MAIN CALF MUSCLE IS JUST ABOUT COMPLETELY DEAD, AS IT HAS HAD NO DIRECT BLOOD FLOW FOR ALL THAT TIME. PAM AND I WERE ABLE TO SHARE GOD'S LOVE FOR HER, AND SHE SEEMS A LITTLE SOFTEN IN HER STANCE TOWARDS OUR LORD.
