   Verse Questions:
        Genesis 1:4

So, if He saw that the light was good does that mean that He felt that the darkness or night was bad? Is that why He divided it?

Hello confused,

I have written a prayer email before on this verse. You can find it below:

Maybe it will give you a better understanding.

I don't think He felt that the darkness was bad. It was just different, better maybe. The reason the Bible mentions that the light was good is because it was the light that was just created, the darkness already existed [Genesis 1:2].
