        (01/23/2000) Sacrifice of praise

1. Praise Report
BC has posted a praise report for Gail. She came out
of the operation successfully.

However, I would suggest that we continue to lift up
Gail for this week for her complete restoration and
healing after the operation. It is a good practice for
us. Sometimes after a victory, the devil perform some
counter-attacks.

Look at the life of Elijah. After defeating the false
prophets of Baal, he ran for his life when Jezebel
sent people after him to take his life. [1 Kings 18 &
19
]

Let's just ask for his continual protection and for
complete restoration.

2. Continue to lift up the others especially for
Wazza's sister-in-law, Linda, for healing of her legs.

[Hebrews 13:15]
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise
to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips
giving thanks to his name.

Remember, we covered coming to him with praise and
thanksgiving. sometimes praise is also called
sacrifice of praise. We praise Him with our lips even
when we do not feel like it. And our state will change
because of our sacrifice of praise. Try that when we
pray. Offer Him a sacrifice of praise and
thanksgiving, not just for all the good things, but in
spite of the situation. Thank Him because we believe
in Him more than in our situation. Let that change the
way we pray.
