(Isn't this the most important thing that we need to have when we pray for others? To have compassion and love. Jesus had compassion and love towards everyone that He touched and prayed for.)

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but
those things which are revealed belong unto us and to
our children for ever, that we may do all the words of
this law.

(Read His Words on healing and on all the things that
He has promised us and let the Holy Spirit work that
revelation into us. No one can rob us of that
revelation which we can only obtain from Him. Let the
secret things be made known to us. Also, if someone is
not healed or passes on to the next life, do not try
to reason why or judge the person. Some mysteries are
not revealed to us and we can just keep it as that.
People are also given a choice. Sometimes certain
people may choose to be with God and not to continue
on in this world. The apostle Paul said [Philippians
1:21] "For me to live is Christ, to die is gain." But
later on went on to say, "Nevertheless to abide in the
flesh is more needful for you." Paul wanted to still
be around for the people of God. But Stephen in the
book of Acts, when he saw the glory of God, chose to
be with God.

[Acts 7:59]
And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying,
Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

We do not have all the answers and if God does not
reveal to us, it is not for us to speculate or to judge.)

When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

(Again we have been given the Holy Spirit who reveals things to us. Praying for the sick may also involve understanding some of the felt needs that may be hindering the healing. In this case, guilt.)

(Sometimes some sicknesses are caused by spiritual bondages. We need to discern when praying for others and advise them accordingly. It may be unrepentant sins in their lives, or even breaking curses or soul ties.)

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

(Jesus has again and again told us that we have authority over sicknesses and now He has given us another key, we shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Reach out by faith and pray for others and believe that God will heal by faith.)
