The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

(We cannot focus on the law alone, when we preach law instead of grace, sin will prevail. It is grace that helps us overcome.)

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. 

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

(I believe that the law was added to protect us. If we can SEE that, it will help us to see the law in its proper perspective.

Not God hindering us from enjoying ourselves, but God hindering us from destroying ourselves. )

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. 

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
