| My parents were very abusive to me when I was a child. I have tried to keep in contact with them especially since i have a child now and I felt they had changed. Over the past year, they have contacted social services to try and have my child taken away from me. Social services closed the file after investigating my home and deemed my place is safe for my child. My parents then went to the local police, but the police told them that they couldn't do anything because social services deemed the place to be safe. My dad then went to my child's school. Shortly after that, I received a phone call from the principal stating he needs me to bring in proof that my child is in fact mine. I told him that I had brought in a birth certificate at the beginning of the year. He told me he needed more proof. Now, my parents are threatening to take me to court to get grandparent rights. I don't know what to do. . . please help me! | |
