Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. 

I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: 

For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

Notice how it says UNTO GOD. You can surely give this scripture to the person speaking untruly to show them what they say is a lie.

I feel very sad for the person that is ignorantly telling you your tongues are speaking to Satan.

Let me try to clear this up. When you are speaking in tongues to the Lord it is the Holy Spirit praying for you. It is your prayer language. Only GOD can understand your tongues unless it needs to be interpretted. We pray in tongues for 2 main reasons. One because often enough we do not know how to pray for ourselves and secondly so Satan CANNOT UNDERSTAND what we are saying.

Tongues is a gift from the Lord. Sadly many people do not understand it and are uncomfortable with it so they put it down or say they don't believe in it. The Devil does not want you to speak in tongues so he will say anything to get you to stop.

Continue what you are doing and don't listen to evil ignorant people for they know not what they say. It is perfectly clear in the Bible that we ARE to speak in tongues! God Bless!

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 

Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. 

He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. 

Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? 

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 

And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
