But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

(Our spirit receives the things of God and communicates with God... we will know that it is God speaking because our spirit will bear witness with what was spoken. If we feel peace deep down in our spirit, we know it is God who is speaking. If we feel tremendous or a nagging sense of uneasiness, we will have to question and ask God to reconfirm with our spirit)
