        Living together before marriage

My girlfriend lives on the other side of the country. I would like to move out there with her until we can be married. She is concerned about living together before marriage. Is this ok if we are not having sex?

hi, greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.. I think you shouldn't live with your girl.. unless you are already married to her. bro, its easy to say that you wont make love with (sex) your girlfriend but you have to remember that the enemy is always looking for someone to tempt . temptation is always present brother and you have to be careful and watchful about it. and besides you are carrying the name of the Lord so you have to be careful of your actions think about what people might say about you and your girl. just wait for the right time brother, the time where you can freely spend the day and the nights with your girl (wife) God bless you brother.

To everything there is a season (Ecclesiastes chapter 3). I believe it is these times/seasons in our lives that GOD uses to grow us the most. This is when you know that you have to TOTALLY depend on GOD because you don't have it in your self to do. In addition, remember that our faith is not about feelings. Our feelings change from day to day yet we are still alive. So it is with our interaction with the Lord. It changes from day to day, but we are still alive. It's about our commitment to God. Sounds to me like you still have commitment (attend youth, church etc.). Sometimes we get caught up on a certain method or way of doing something. Just because you haven't touched your bible (not saying you shouldn't because that is our bread)in a while or haven't prayed like you use to(not saying you shouldn't because that is where are strength comes from) doesn't mean that your faith is off track. God works/moves/speaks to us, in us and through us in so many different ways. Don't get caught up in a certain cycle or method of seeking God. If you were so far off, you wouldn't even attend youth group, church or camp, you see! Perhaps God is using those things right now to sustain you. It's not that God isn't doing anything in your life right now, as you stated. It's the other way around, you're not doing anything right now and God is doing it all! This is a time when He and he alone gets the GLORY because, you know that it's nothing that you have done!! Don't get DEPRESSED because you're not reading and praying in a way that you like you think you should, be BLESSED when/while at youth group, church and camp in fellowship, activities etc.! James 4:8 says draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you.

It is so easy to lose faith in the world we live in, GOd says that we must be in the world not of the world ( i hope i got that right). I believe that everything happens for a reason, and that God does not give us things that we cannot handle. Yes he does test us. For we must remember when we think he is not there He actually is. He is carrying us through. (Footprints) Also the one about faith like a mustard seed. it is hard to keep faith, but just remeber what JEsus did for us. HE died on the cross so that we may be forgiven. there is a saying (or a little paragraph) that i read which motivated me to follow through with it. in short it says how we must hand our problems to JEsus, and he will take care of them, you make a box, SFJTD-something for jesus to do. you write your problem down and place it in this box. once you have done this, you can not solve the problem yourself if you think you can handle it, you must consult Him in prayer. I made this box and it really helps.

by God's grace...the most important thing for a christian is to walk by FAITH not by sight. as normal human beings, even christians do not escape from being alone at times, depressed and stressed out. sometimes, i am like you. the more i seek Him the more the enemy comes in! but thank God He showed me this site....keep on reading your Bible, read this website. interact with others and you'll see God would reveal to you things that you do not know. i, for myself, don't have the pep to do my devotionals...but with this site???? great!!!! i have just signed up a 1-year plan of devotions. so help us God. i'll pray for you.

It has been awhile since you've posted, but hopefully you get this: Don't feel alone in all this, it happens to a lot of people. I, personally, know how you feel about the being all slone part. I took a different road, I prayed twice as much and still felt like I was praying to nothing. Then I went on a fast. It was 4-5 days into my fast that I read a chapter in a book I was going through that talked of how sometimes God will purposefully withdraw from us to see how we react. He won't leave us, but He will take a few steps back. That is what happened to me. It's a normal thing. It happens to lots of people, (it even happened to David! Psalm 22) So keep up the faith! I was very depressed myself a long time ago when I came across James 1:2-4. That changed how I view things. As for how to get back on track: rejoice always, pray continually and in all things give thanks. If you truly seek God, He will reveal Himself to you. I hope you see this and good luck!
