I met a man who is saved and really wants to continually walk with the Lord. He's everything I've ever dreamed of, and he says he feels the same about me. The only problem is He's still legally married. He's been separated from his wife for 1 1/2 years. When I suggested we not see eachother anymore, he said we should date and continue getting to know one another as friends. He said we should wait to see why God allowed our paths to cross. I want to know what God says. Is it okay for a married man to allow himself to develop a relationship with a woman knowing he desires her as his own? Is it right for me to wait for him to legally divorce his wife? Would our relationship ever be fruitful? Would God give me a divorced man to have as my own? Would he ever really be mine?

[Mattherw 5:27] Do you know why he is not divorced yet? Do you know why he is seperated from his wife? If he can't/won't make the seperation legal, then I would stay away from the situation. If this mann is truely saved, he wouldn't be still married and having an affair too. By not being divorced, he is also causing you to comit adultry as well as himself. Sometimes things like this come up to test our faith and willingness to truely follow God's will. I was in a similar situation where my now ex husband used my faith to win me over, then, after he got me he showed his true colors, and it wasn't good. I think you should seek reliable counsel, and pray about this earnestly and follow the advice. [Philippians 4:5-7] Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Ane the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Lean on God an he will help you through this.
Lord, I lift up this child to your loving care and ask that you would lead her in her desicision and surround her with your comfort as you lead her in the way she should go.
Lord I ask that you would bless her as she follows your will and that you would send the right person into her life. Thank you Father for your wisdom and the strength we need to get through the rough times in our lives. In the precious and blessed name of Jesus I pray, Amen
