   General Questions:
should followers of Jesus celebrate Christmas

If most of the roots of Christmas are pagan and used to bring pagans into the church.Should we as believers be celebrating Cristmas.

Scripture is quite clear about not doing the practices of pagans

Christmas may have started out as a pagan holiday, but I think that when we celebrate, we should keep in mind the real reason we celebrate. Jesus birth, love, life, and death. I feel that as long as this day is with Jesus Christ in our hearts, and actions, that it is not wrong. After all, Isn't that what we are supposed to do all the time any way. AMEN

Scripture is very clear that it is up to the believer's conscience as to whether he should keep a feast day or not
Rom 14:6 is where it can be found

ABSOLUTELY, we should celebrate Christ's birth. God's own Son came down to earth to attone for our sins. We were completely without hope, but now we have life in Jesus Christ. What better reason to celebrate!? Emmanuel--God is with us!!! Christmas may not be the actual time of Christ's birth, but since we don't KNOW exactly when Christ was born, why not celebrate on Dec. 25? Whatever the "roots" of Christmas are, it all depends on the attitude of your heart now. Make your Christmas all about Jesus in your heart.
