For years I wondered about this myself. I've been A Christian for 8 years now. And from a teaching from my pastors, We don't always get what we want when we ask for it. God either says, Yes, No or WAIT. And maybe it could be that God wants you to wait. For God's timing is better than our timing of when we want things.
PS When you look back and realize that prayers aren't answered aren't you glad that sometimes not every prayer is answered when we want it to be?
