        ACTS 2:38

WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE SKIP OVER THIS VERSE IN THE BIBLE, OR TRY TO MAKE IT INTO SOMETHING ITS NOT? THE BIBLE SAYS PLAIN AND CLEAR: REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED... HOW COULD THAT BE MISTAKEN FOR ASKING JESUS INTO YOUR HEART?

that truly is the apostles doctrine. It began in Acts 2:38. if you read through the book of ACTs, eveyone who accepted jesus were saved indeed. but by being baptised in jesus name and by receiving the holy spirit. without agreeing to Romans 10:9, there is no point in trying to receive the holy spirit. Rom 10:14 askes, "how can they call upon him who they have no believed?" jesus himself told nicodemus(or however it is spelled) that we cannot enter heaven unless we are "born again" well gotta run. hope that helped . god bless

It says in the Bible, "That if thou shalt confess with thy the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." [Romans 10:9-10].. This tells us that to be saved we need to confess the Lord Jesus.. Not get baptized!! Baptism is the public announcement of your salvation! The thief on the cross beside Jesus was not baptized, so when he asked Jesus to save him from death (Hell), Jesus said to him "this day you will live with me in paradise".. The thief was going to Heaven, and he wasn't baptized! Unless Jesus was lying to him.. Which is not possible, God doesn't sin! :) God bless you!!
