How do christians free themselves from bondage?

I sometimes feel I am in bondage, mentally, spiritually! I want so bad to be free in my mind. I cannot be used by God, to my fullest potential if I am in constant turmoil in my mind. What are some specifics scriptures that would increase my knowledge so that I may recieve my deliverance?

Hi guest,

I feel very empathetic toward you when you say that you are in bondage. How I wish I could save you from it. But what kind of bondage is it? Is it bondage to some kind of sin/s? If it is, then study [Romans 6] in depth. Study it, memorize it, make it a part of your soul. It basically says that we are responsible for submitting our hearts either to God or to Satan. If you feel you are in bondage (which again, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that) then you have chosen to give yourself over to Satan. [Joshua 24:15] says to choose whom you will serve. Paul said in [Galatians 2:20] that he dies daily. In other words, he daily chose to follow the way of the Cross Bearer, and was daily crucified with Him. You must pray daily and study Scripture daily. I would also suggest that you daily pray through [Ephesians 6]. Visualize yourself putting on each pice of the armor of God. Meditate on each piece of the armor, and how it spiritually protects you from the enemy seizing you and bringing you back into bondage. I was in bondage for the first three years of my walk with the Lord. Satan held me captive with His constant condemnation of being the world's worst, most wretched, disgusting, worthless sinner, worse than Hitler or any other tyrant. How could God possibly love me?

But when I began the practice of daily praying and asking God to help me put His armor on, each piece, one by one, the fiery darts of the enemy failed, and I had victory in Jesus and was more than a conqueror! Please study the Scriptures I've given you. I will be praying for you.

In Christ's Love,

P.S. Here is a great book online about the life of Christ. It's the greatest book about Him, next to the Bible, that I've ever http://www.egwestate.andrews.edu/da/da.html
