   General Questions:
What scriptures are useful in regards to fighting tempation?

I have some hidden sins, I am trying to deal with it. It's hard expecially when you are in need of Love, and someone is willing to love you unconditonally-someone besides the Lord.

Hello guest,

Sometimes we find ourselves being pushed to a corner, being desperate for acceptance and for love. We need to learn first and foremost to depend on God's love and to find satisfaction in God's acceptance.

[Ecc 8:2-6]
2 Obey the king's command, I say, because you took an oath before God.
3 Do not be in a hurry to leave the king's presence. Do not stand up for a bad cause, for he will do whatever he pleases.
4 Since a king's word is supreme, who can say to him, "What are you doing?"
5 Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm, and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure.
6 For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a man's misery weighs heavily upon him.

Hastiness and desperation drives us to do things that we know we shouldn't do. We know it is silly. That is the reason why the Word of God tells us not to be hasty. There is a proper time for everything and if you are willing to wait, God will honour your waiting and in His perfect time make all things beautiful for you.

Sometimes in our hastiness, we fail to recognize our position and our inheritance in Christ and we compromise on our values. We need to remember that we are to sanctify ourselves continually because God will do something wonderful in our lives when we do that and not lose hope.

[Joshua 3:5]
And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you.

Do not continue in your hidden sins because God's Word is very clear on this:

[Galatians 6:6]
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Do not be deceived and think that if we live a life without God, that this sinful life will bring us all the pleasures in the world. We are reaping continually what we sow. Sow the right seeds and wait for the harvest.

In the end, we need to make a stand for God and believe that by doing the right things, God will see us through. And I believe He will come through for you.
