   Prayer Requests:
        marriage decison

Please pray. I have been seeing the sam gentleman for more than 10 years. He is a wonderful person. We almost married a few years back, but at the last minute, after the hall was booked, gown selected, etc. I got cold feet and cancelled the wedding. His patience has just about run out and I have to make a decision. He is my best friend, tender, loving, handsome. He has stood by me through some very tough times. I cannot imagine life without him. I am now in my early 30's and he in his early 40's and I have always wanted children and marriage. Therefore, I do not understand my fear. Please pray that God will direct my path and reveal the reasons for my fear. Please pray that this fear will be put in perspective. Please pray that I will be filled with Godly wisdom and clarity to see the right path to take. Please pray that God will mold me into a Godly wife and helpmate it this is his will, or if we are to part, please may we do so without hurt to one another. I don't want to hurt this man for anything in the world. In the name of Jesus Christ through faith, I pray for perfect guidance, clarity and wisdom. Amen.

Coleen,

You need to find out whether this is a check in your spirit or whether this is just you, being nervous. Someone once told me ... to find out whether he is the perfect one for you, ask yourself whether both of you bring each other closer to God when you are together. I think this is quite sound advice because God wants us to be equally yoked.

If you are attending a church, maybe you can approach an elder for marriage counselling. I will pray for you because I believe that God will reveal to you in your inner witness what to do next. Hasn't He said in His Word [Matt 7:7], "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:". I'm going to believe that for you but you have to be first willing to listen. Whatever your decision, believe that God can make all things work together for good.

Father in Heaven,

Even as Coleen seeks for Your perfect will, I pray that You reveal Your will and show her what is this hesitation that she is having. Father, I pray that You expedite and speed up Your confirmation for her. And I pray that You grant her Your peace when You do reveal what is best in this case. I leave this sister in Your loving hands.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Colleen, I want to tell you that before I married my husband I had very cold feet. For me the reason was that I had always made bad choices in men before him. Though we both are working through past baggage, he has been the best decision I've ever made. I pray for you.

Dear Lord,

I lift up Colleen and her possible husband to you. Please guide both of them as to what is your will for them. Please God, I pray that you will give Colleen peace regarding what your will is for her life. We know that you are faithful God and that you will answer the prayers of those who love you. Bless grant Colleen peace of mind regarding this important decision in her life.

In Jesus name Amen
