      re:Wife's continuing illness
Lord, I thank You for this beautiful couple, for the faith that David has in You, despite the trying times. Continue to give David strength each and every day. Help Him to trust You in everything, no matter what happens. Heal Mary, we pray.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

"Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.
He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.
Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary." [Isa 39:28-31

re:Wife's continuing illness March '06 Update
March 29th, 2006
Mary and I have entered into a new chapter of our journey.
We have been told that the Chemo and Radiation treatments have not done anything to stop this insidious brain tumor. We have stopped all medical treatments to attack this cancer and have left Mary’s future, totally to the Sovereign Will of our God!
Some may see this as a lack of Faith. We believe that God doesn't need man's med's to heal. Jesus simply "spoke" healing and people were healed. He could simply be "touched" or touch someone and they were healed. God heals! Not man! We believed that God could use Med's to heal Mary, as long as our focus is to give Him all the Glory for using man's God-given wisdom to bring about healing.
We will now Know that God Will heal Mary. Heal her by restoring health and life or heal her by taken her into His Loving presence.
We want Mary with us. She and I have so many plans and dreams for the future. We wanted to grow old together and to enjoy travels and just to sit and watch sunsets. We love our beautiful desert home and all the blessings given to us by God. For many years, though, we had forgotten to acknowledge Him and thank Him for all He had given us. We just took them for granted! No longer will we take anything in our lives for granted. God has so blessed us with many, many beautiful memories. Whether we’ll add to these or just be able to remember and smile, only He knows!
When we walk in the “Valley of the shadow of death”, it is so comforting to know that He is with us!

Heavenly Father,
I come to you in behalf of David's wife. You see her suffering. I claim the blood of Jesus to come on the scene and bring about a supernatural miracle that only you can do for her. I'm believing something good is on the way. Let your healing power touch her body. In Jesus Name, I Pray, Amen.

      re:Wife's continuing illness:Feb Update
I'm thanking our Lord, daily, for His Comfort and His Love. He has shown His abundant Mercy as we face each day. Mary has shown great improvement since this ordeal began. She has many battles to fight but we all know that our Lord will be with us each step of the way.
Yesterday, my birthday by the way, her sister, Lora and I, took Mary to the ocean for a wonderful stroll on the pier. We were able to do this because of the loving generosity of a friend who loaned us a van. We had plenty of room for the wheelchair, etc.. Mary had no discomfort from the car or from "bumping" along the wooden planked, pier. The weather was warm and breezy and she enjoyed the oceans smells and noises. She still cannot see very well but this didn't seem to bother her that much. We've finished all her Radiation treatments and she has a 2 week break from additional Chemo drugs, so we're praying that her vision will continue to improve. Thank you, Lord! After the pier trip, we took her to a wondrful Mexican restaurant, and she enjoyed a "Chile Relleno"! All of this journey was such a gift from God! When Mary was "911" to the hospital on Dec. 2nd, the doctor was not going to treat her and told me that she would soon die. God intervened and the doctor lisnened to my plea for help and started to treat her. Now, 2 months later, we're taking trips to the ocean and going out to restaurants. Thank you, Lord!
Mary will need to stay in the Skilled Nursing home for a time as she continues to recover her ability to use her left arm and leg, which has greatly improved.
My prayer request at this time, besides for her continuing healing, is that the Lord would either completely heal the agitation induced by the drugs and her brain damage or that He'd show the doctors we're visiting next Monday and Tuesday, the correct combination of drugs that will allow Mary to have a more restful situation at the home. God presence has continued to give me confidence that He is in control of all our situation and that His will is being done! He has given us more time with our Sweet Mary and we thank Him for that! I know He will sustain us to the end of this journey, whatever that may be!
Praise you Father!

Dear God, you are writing a story here with David and Mary. We do not know the end of the story, w know that David and Mary are characters in the story and you have the power to lift Mary up, heal her, and write a powerful story. You have the power to take Mary home, heal the hurt and allow Mary to play in your fields and worship at your feet.

The power is the story and how we, here on earth can help tell this story and touch the lives of people who need to see and hear your power. I pray for David and his strength during these times. I pray for his emotions and his temptations. I pray for the nuring staff that they would be compassionate at every chance with MAry. I pray for the doctors and the radiation staff who care for her. I pray for Mary's family and the strength and stamima they need as well.

Lord, please write a love story, a story of hope, healing, rejoicing, and peace.

re:Wife's continuing illness, Jan. '06 update!
I would like to thank God for your prayers. I was dealing with a bit of frustration when I wrote the original note and altough I knew that our Lord had everything under His control, I must have needed to whine a bit on that day. Taking time to write a note of encourgement and prayer, when all of us have issues we deal with, has blessed me, greatly. I also believe that other's pray without the entry and I thank our Lord for that!
Mary has continued to be healed by God. She has started to move her left leg and arm. She is doing well with the chemo and radiation and her thoughts and memory are improving each day. The Lord has opened the doors to the hospital's Physical Therapy department and she should be admitted, this next Monday.
I praise our Lord each day for giving me the joy I receive, each time I walk into her room and see her beautiful face. I am being given a stronger understanding of how life can be lived one day at a time.
Along with the prayer request for healing of the tumor's and His strength to endure for me and our family, I'm asking our Lord to ease Mary's mind, as she becomes more aware of her circumstances. She, by nature, fret's a lot and although she says she is giving her troubles to our Lord, she tend's to drag them back. This causes back and chest pain which is an additional discomfort she has to endure. Jesus said to cast all our worries to Him and He will give us strength. She needs to receive this promise in her mind and heart.
Thank you Lord!

Father I pray for David's wife that You will continue to watch over her. With You, nothing is impossible. Help us to keep trusting in You. I pray that You will encourage David and his family and provide for their needs. I pray for Your wisdom in this situation. Help David not to give up hope, but to put his hope in You.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
