You have been created in the image of God, therefore you are equipped to do what He did/does. Remember in Gen. 1:1 it says that the Spirit was hovering over the waters of the deep and the earth was void and without form? All through the bible the Spirit is associated with power. Then how come nothing was happening? Because power is only released through the spoken word!! When God stepped out to create this earth, He didn't say, "Wow. It's really dark out here." He instead called those things which were not... He called those things which were NOT as though they were. Follow His example. I encourage you to look up all the verses pertaining to forgiveness and love. Then confess them as personalized, by faith statements. For example:

Father, I praise you that because it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me that forgiveness abounds in my heart. I am quick and able to forgive because You first forgave me. And because it is I who no longer lives... my flesh is dead... then no offenses rise to the surface in Jesus' name, only your love for I am filled with the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

Desiring to be free of these negative traits is proof your heart is in the right place. We ALL need to continually rid ourselves of these. And, just know that God loves you. Right now. Just the way you are. He's just not content to leave you that way for He wants to make you more like Jesus.

I know how you feel I went through the samething it took years. I would ask God to help me to forgive my Dad and other people mainly my Dad. I would pray and it seemed ok but then I would have a dream and I would be having a fist fight with him. Wow where did that come from. I thought I forgave him. Just remeber that unforgiveness,anger,bitterness will hurt you more than anyone else. [ Mt 16:25 ]
"For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. If you want peace give HIM your life all of it. [Col 3:8]
But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Please get in the word you have to see God's Love in HIS word and understand that as you read and let the Holy Spirit lead you you will be able to FORGIVE AND HAVE LOVE FOR THEM.
Dear heavenly Father
I lift up this person to you Heavenly Father I ask that you wrap your arms around this person and show them your love so they can pass it on. It is awsome to be able to share your love with others. The ANGER is dangerest don't let it get out of hand. It's not the anger that you are aware of it is the anger under the surface the one that you need to deal with and give it to God. Just ask HIM to show you the anger. Lord you are awsome take this persons anger and turn it in to love for you and others. And tell others how You took away the anger and bitterness,unforgiveness and how Awsome you are God. THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER IN JESUS AWSOME MIGHTY NAME [AMEN ]
