[2 Corinthians 5:17] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

That's what the bible says. You are a new creation. Let go of your past because the old has gone and the new has come. Jesus died to make you new. Confess this word every day and confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ. God's Word will transform you.

Father in Heaven,
I lift up my brother here and pray that You will deliver him from this emotional hurt and that You will help him and give him wisdom to work on this marriage.
