The Bible clearly states that if we "confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins." [1 John 1:9]

Conviction in our hearts, most often - causes us to not commit a particular sin again, however, it is good to remember, "For He made Him who knew no sin, to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." [2 Cor. 5:21]

Why do we willing do things that we know are wrong, in the sight of God? -- Because we want to satisfy our flesh. There's always a battle between the Spirit and the flesh, -- and it's not an easy battle [Gal. 5:16-17].

I too had an adulterous affair at the age 21. So,I understand your pain. We must always learn and heal from our mistakes.

For the sake of you not beating yourself up -- day after day -- remember this scripture: "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." [Eph. 1:7]

Peace and Blessings to you.
May you abide in His Love.

[Psalm 18:35] It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

Sometimes we find it easy to judge the sins of others, thinking we are somehow better because we have not done what they have done. Then God steps back & shows us who we are and we realize we are sinners as bad as everyone else. If we're not commiting the sins our neighbors commit, it's because God is helping us. As soon as we think we can be good by ourselves, God steps back & our lusts of the flesh take over.

God is the one that protected you from going too far. He took you far enough to show you that you are a sinner in need of a Savior.

Those who are forgiven much, love much. The response you need here is to accept the fact that you are a terrible sinner (as is everyone, no one is good, no not one). Once you understand the sinner that you are & always were, you will understand how much Jesus sacrificed for you. Then you will have the freedom to love God the way he wants you to love him.

Our walk with God is not about how good we are. It's about how great our God is, in spite of our great transgressions.

Hi guest,

You don't need to feel anything. Don't let emotions control you.

[Proverbs 25:28] He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

[2 Timothy 1:7]
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

God has given you a spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind. You can overcome this. Don't feel, just believe.

You know that God has forgiven you. You've learned from this. Now, just let go and move on.

Father in Heaven,
I lift up my sister to You and pray that You help her release this guilt and come into the cleansing flow of Your blood.

In Jesus' Name, Amen
