   Prayer Requests:
        Being an unmarried single mother

I'd recently made the decision to become a single mother - I'd lost my job after making the decision, upset my family and would lose some of my friends. But one good thing is I came back to the Lord after 4 years of backsliding and living in worldly desires. I need to know if there are bible verses that would offer me encouragement in this situation as it is indeed a hard road ahead. The father of the child is hardly a man I know and after knowing the news, he blatantly told me over the phone to stop calling him(he doesn't wanna know about anything other than an abortion is done). I pray for forgiveness of my sins, forgiveness on the hatred I have for the man, and for strength in days ahead. Thank you.

God still loves you and even though you cannot change what you've done you can change how you choose to live your life from this point on. He will forgive you but you also have to forgive yourself. Try reading Woman THou Art Loosed by TD Jakes or Out of the Sheets by Juanita Bynum. They will make an impact if your life with your current situation. God bless you and the new life you bring. Amen.

Thank you all of you who had prayed for me. Things seem to be turning out better (I am going onto my 3rd trimester now). With all your blessings, I am truly grateful!

Wannie,

I saw an old episode of Oprah recently in which 3 single mum tried to find babies to adopt because they wanted to have a baby in their lives. I also know of friends who are waiting for children and have not been able to become pregnant yet.

Since you have made the decision, you know that a baby is a gift from God and I'm sure will be your joy when the baby comes into your life and becomes part of your new life.

God is good and He accepts us because of His sacrifice on the Cross and not because of our good deeds.

As for the father, now you know what he thinks, you just have to move on and shake the dust off your feet, just like what Jesus told the disciples about people who did not receive them.

I'll pray for you...

Father in Heaven,

I lift up Wannie and I pray that You give her comfort, strength and joy and I thank you that You have forgiven her and You can give her the strength to move on to something new in her life. I lift her up into Your hands and I trust that You will be able to guide her and give her wisdom as to how to raise the child.

In Jesus' Name, Amen

Psalm 68:5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God bless.

Dear Lord, our redeamer;
Be with Wannie and comfort her in the days ahead. I can't imagine being single, responsible for a little one and no means of support... I hope she finds a church that will be understanding and not angry at her... I hope your forgiveness can penatrate her darkend situation and your healing oil of the heart and mind will help her and make her joyful as she rasies this child...

She has a tough life ahead of her but I commend her on her for her desicision not to abort...

And I pray for the child, that he/she should feel the love of God and love and discipline of a godly parent.

May God Keep you and Bless you Amen
