Prayer Requests: Caring for our niece Isis |
Hello Everyone,
It's Tina again,,,, If you all remember my niece Isis... well this is the little girl that her mother went to jail and my hubby (Charles) and I were left to keep for 3 1/2 months with nothing more than a dirty bag of clothes that did not fit her. We now have Isis again, the mother is homeless and we have had the baby now 22 months old since the middle of July. Same scenario... came to us with a bag of diapers and a dirty bag of clothes that were either ruined or did not fit. My prayer is for my strength as well as my husband. Also to please remember the mother Alice who is on drugs and needs to get herself together for the baby. It was very hard to see all the hard work my husband and I put in on the baby be totally undone in a matter of 6 months (that is how long she was back with her mother). Isis is doing better now slowly but surely it just takes every ounce of energy to deal with it after a full day at work. She has abandonment issues really bad so it is hard for me to be out of her sight without her screaming my name. I bought her a silver cross necklace and tell her about Jesus and we pray at night .. she even says Amen at the end of the prayer... So please join with me in prayer and agreement that the mother finds a descent place to live not another crack house where the baby can be safe... And that she see God first not her drugs for her daughter's sake. I will keep you all updated with the progress of the baby and her mother... But I have kind of given up on teaching the mother to fish... I have decided to teach the innocent baby how to fish for the Lord..... Thank you all in advance for all of your prayers and support. Your Sister in Christ Jesus, Tina Hicks Thicks@mmsa.com |

Dear Lord, I bring Tina before You. Thank You, Lord, for her and her hubby's willingness to take Isis in. Please give them Your wisdom to know how to teach Isis and her mother. Help her mother to see the love in Tina's heart, that she may be encouraged to know that there is a God who cares. |
