   Prayer Requests:
        My Salvation

I became a christian and was baptized in June 1996. Unfortunatly
in my imperfectness and newness as a christian I allowed myself to become a hypocrite. I studied and read my bible, I attended church faithfully 4 times a week, but I felt that there is no way that I could be forgiven for all my sins and so I continued to go back to some of my sinful ways. This was all several years ago and I have grown as a christian since then. I know my Lord has forgiven me and that he loves me. I am scheduled for surgery
and want to know if God has forgiven me for those years that I sinned willfully. I understand that if we ask forgiveness we recieve it. I asked forgiveness for those sins but I am afraid to go into surgery thinking there is something I must do to fix it. Please pray fro my understanding!

The Word of God says.....you are forgiven. Totally. You have no sin against you in the eyes of the Father. Reason? Jesus our eternal High Priest...who lives to make intercession for us [Heb 7:25]. Notice in that verse that Jesus....SAVES COMPLETELY. He is our advocate. Does He look for ways to disqualify you from your inheritance? NONSENSE! He wants to qualify you, no matter what. All you have to do is repent [Luke 17:3](which sounds like you are doing that, or have done that...otherwise...we would not be having this conversation). Notice that Jesus is asking us to continually forgive our brother? Understanding...we would KNOW our brother on a personal basis, right? Wouldn't Jesus do the same for us? [Acts 26:18] Pay attention to the last one. Jesus is saying...by faith our sins are forgiven. Is not our King, the One that we call upon, perfect to cleanse us of ALL our inequities, sins, transgressions? Are you not calling upon Jesus to forgive you? Have you not forgiven ALL of those who have sinned against you?
Why are you not sinning without conscience now, as you were before? Fear of death...am I correct? Guess what: You just wokeup to the reality that few in this world pause to think about. Your eyes are opened. You see your nakedness and shame in your sin. Now you need a Saviour, who is perfect enough to reach you and pull you from the pit. There is only One. Where is your heart now? No....really. Where is your heart now? You want to know what our Lord and Saviour said about those who draw near him? Read [John 6:39]. You have just come to realize that...although we spend so much time turning away from our Lord...He has never turned away from us [Rev 3:20]. Paul himself acknowledges the constant battle between the flesh and spirit [Romans 7]. Sometimes it takes a life shaking experience to set our paths straight. Take this sickness as a BLESSING from the Father. Better to be awakened from your life of sin by a personal tragedy, than to perish forever in fire and death. Think that you sinned? The disciples fled Jesus when he was betrayed. Peter denied him 3 times. And these saints KNEW him throughout his ministry...and learned from the Master. Thomas doubted his resurrection until Jesus challenged him to put his fingers on his wounds. Essentially...Thomas was doubting who Jesus was. Jesus had already revealed who He was. 2,000 years later...you slipped. Brush yourself off. Stop listening to the accuser. The liar. The one who lost you... but is aiming to reduce you to an ineffective Christian. Get up and proclaim the good news. REPENT. Praise the Father for the victory in Jesus!!! [1 Cor 15:57] Get into the word... fellowship with brothers. Get active in the body of Christ..and you will not WANT to sin anymore. We live in interesting times. The Holy Spirit is doing some awesome things.
Email me if you want to talk more. But DON'T DOUBT YOUR SALVATION! He paid a high price for you.

In Christ Jesus,
