  Prayer Requests:
        A friend in trouble
 
Dear friends in Christ. I want to thank all of you who have been praying for me and my friend. About a month or so ago I had written about my situation, and how my friend had told me that he planned to commit suicide. Your prayers have truly been answered because God gave me the strength to go to my parents and tell them about the situation, because I was not able to handle it alone. My parents contacted the youth pastor of my friend's church and were able to get him some help. Now he is doing very well and is going through life more positively. God was totally in control of this situation and gave me, and my friend the courage to get through this. Thank you so much for your prayers, they helped saved a life.

Father in Heaven,

I lift up ak and her friend to You. I pray that You will send the right people into his path to encourage him. I pray that You will bring him closer to You and away from these desires to commit suicide. I pray that You will show him a new perspective on life and give him a renewed vision.

ak, if you can't handle this, maybe you should seek help from someone in your church who is able to help you. Don't be stressed out. We have got to let God be God and not take all responsibility to ourselves. Pray for your friend and do practical things like spend time with him or encourage him in a hobby. Ask God for wisdom on practical ways to help him.

Find out what is the root of the problem if you can and take steps to help him. But again if this is too big of a task for you and since you are female and might have problems getting too close, maybe you can get help from a spiritual leader in your church.
