   Prayer Requests:
Feeling tired. Please Pray for strength.

I just got saved about 10 months ago. I have a friend who is really concerned about me because all the teens in our church are backsliding and she doesn't want me to backslide. I know beyond a shadow of a doupt that I'm not going to turn my back on God. Every time I miss a church service, she gets on my case about it. Like last Sunday, it was mothers day and I misses the night service to spend time with my mom (she's not saved) and she got on my case about it. My point is, she is bugging me and getting on my case so much, that I want to start hanging out with someone else. I feel like everytime I say something about God or God's word that she is always correcting me. It makes me feel like I have to life my salvation off of her knowledge and her mistakes. I just want to be able to live my christian life making my own mistakes so that I can learn from them. I feel like she is smuggling me. It's making me so upset that I started having thoughts about killing myself again (know that that is just satan asulting me). Anyways, please pray for me to have strength and anything else you can get off of from this prayer request. I can use all the prayers I can get. Thank You!

My dear child, does your church have a youth pastor? If it does, please talk with him or her about your thoughts of suicide. If not, either ask your pastor for the name of a Christian counselor in your area or find a church with a solid youth group. Thoughts of suicide require a mature Christian professional to help you. As for your friend, I would really recommend finding more Christian friends to hang out with, and gently, lovingly reduce the amount of time that you spend with this person who is a stumbling block in your faith. If you have other friends who are solid in the Lord you can see where this other person is hurting you and won't feel the need to spend a lot of time with him or her. I know this for a fact because I was in a similiar situation for years. My one regret is that it took years to get away from this person.

Father, I lift this young person up to you. I bind all works of the enemy that are trying to pull this individual away from your plan for their life. We take authority over the spirit of death that is oppressing them. We ask that you lead them to mature Christians who will instruct them in your Word and help them to grow into the solid man or woman of faith that you call them to be. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
