 Prayer Requests:Taylor the Teen Needs Prayer QUICK!

| Pray that God would protect this 16 year old and intervene on her behalf concerning the emotional and spiritual abuse inflicted upon her by her mom. Also that God would protect her from all evil, and from any 'plots' meant for her destruction and harm. Pray that God would open doors of blessing and truth and that HIS word and HIS presence would be revealed to her. Pray that God would deliver her from the snares of the enemy and place her safely on solid ground. And that any negative words spoken over her will come to nothing.
There appears to be much more going on in this situation than the typical 'troubled youth/just bein' a teenager syndrome' that affects all teens. There are some very deep issues that seem to be working within the mother, and quite probably a serious mental condition. She seems much more determined in proving how 'evil' her daughter is as some way to show how 'faultless' she is by comparison. My husband and I work with troubled youth and their families. This girl is a friend of our son. We spent 5 hours counselling with the girl's mom and step-dad as we opened our home to the girl as a 'safe harbor' and a 'temporary fix' because the girl had repeatedly run away. The mother and step-father agreed to allow the girl to stay with us, then turned around and called the police and reported her missing at our address. Most likely, the plan is to get her placed in a facility. As parents, we support other parent's rights to parent their children, but we really feel that this was a breech of trust by letting the girl believe she was 'safe' here. She wasn't planning on running away from our home, and was willing for us to mediate on her behalf because she does love her mom and stepdad. She says 'it's just that she can't stay in the home environment because of the way her mom treats her'. It was very apparent when the police came to our door, and we contacted the mother by phone that her perception of the events that transpired and her version of the truth were clearly distorted. She made reference to events that never took place and displayed paranoia as though people were conspiring against her. Her daughter has admitted to past drug abuse, although she and her friends say that she does not currently use. The mom says that the daughter is bulemic, steals, and is just 'evil'. I'm sure the daughter would benefit from counsel having lived in that environment. There's so much to pray for, it's difficult to say where to start. Please pray as you feel led. This incident just happened over the weekend. |

Father, you alone know the problems we must face in this world. Those who trust in you can find happiness in your love. Those who turn away have been given over to the adversary. We have been given free will O'Lord. But those who do not get to know you are the ones who suffer. It is because of you O'Lord that this young person is getting the help they need. You watch over every one of us. You have lead this person into the arms of your servants. Please give them the strength they need to counsel and help this family in need. Give them the wisdom to speak the words from the father. Give them rest only in your arms. So that by their love you can shine through. |
