   Prayer Requests:
Prayer needed for someone who is discouraged!

Hello Prayer Warriors,
I have been a faithful member of my church for many years, I have given my services and tithes, offering to this church. I became ill a couple of weeks ago. I missed church for one week, when I returned I was not greeted with any type of Hello's or How are you? Only the pastor, was concerned about me. He called me several times to check on me. When I returned to church the pastor's wife, did not say anything to me but, "I need your offering". Please help me with this one! I pay my tithes, I give freely to this church as God blesses me. However, I feel that this greeting was not appropriate. I felt as though her only concern was the money. What is appropriate? I did not go back to church for two weeks after this happened. Should I allow her lack of acknowledge and non-caring attitude to play a major part in my decision of not ever going back to this church? I realize my responsibility to the Lord, I don't give because of people, I give out of my heart praying that the church needs are met. I really need some scriptures of encouragement. I will pray and ask for God's wisdom and knowledge in this matter, please do the same! Thank You! God Bless You!

Dear discouraged, go to your scriptures and you will see all the way through that there is someone praying for others. Let this remind you that you have to pray for these people that didn't remember you when you were sick. Remember what you are seeking also. Go to "Phillipians 3, when you start to feel discouraged and disappointed with your church family, when you start to feel discouraged with your family and friends. I have been there done that and I had to remember why I am going to church in the first place. The Word tells us to "Be not conformed to the things of this world"
I will remember you in prayer. Father, I come now in the Mighty Name of Jesus, I come humbly and submissive to Your will and Your way. I come now as an intercessor for my friend who is discouraged with her/his church. I ask Father, that you touch this person's heart now in the Name of Jesus and that you give them the strength, the perserverence to press on toward the mark. I pray that you would touch the hearts of their church family now in the Name of Jesus and put on their remembrance the people around. I pray now Lord in the Name of Jesus that you let this person feel the presence of Your Holy Spirit and remind them that though the church family didn't remember to call when they were ill that you were right there. I pray that you will use this illness to bring more strength, more faith, more joy into this person's life. In the name of Jesus, I pray that Your Holy Spirit will continue to touch this person and that they will continue to do, continue to be faithful to You. I pray Lord that you will give them a fresh anointing. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, I pray that Your will be done in this person's life. Amen

You have experienced first hand of what it is to be neglected by those you have loved and respected. God has shown you the path of which we all should take. Care for each other and fortify the love God has in all of us.
I encourage you to stay with your church and be God's guiding light and set the example of greeting all of your congregation on Sundays
and calling those you notice that are not in attendance and be the Lords advocate of love and caring. Do this unselfishly and in prayer and God will lead the rest in your light. May God Bless you and enrich your life.

Hello Guest,
Do not allow discouragement to overwhelm you - David said, Wait on the Lord: be of good courage and he will strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord [Ps.27:14]. Wait on the Lord - ie, read His Word - Psalm 27 and Psalms and others - the bible! - that are a comfort and a guide to you.
Stand on your Rock. Has God said to you, You have robbed me? If not, who can question you or stand against God?
Remember, the Church is the body of Christ here on earth, so be forgiving. As it is written, Love shall cover a multitude of sins [1 Peter 4:8-10] ie doesn't count a word out of season, or poorly expressed, as sin. There is none of us yet seated at the right hand of Christ because of own (little) mistakes and imperfections. Nevertheless, God is calling us into perfection of love [Mat.5:43-48]
You have said that you have been in your church many years - why leave it now? Will you or your brethren be any better anywhere else? Or, will you learn God's ways by avoiding His classroom? If it is a bible based church and Jesus is being preached, then there is no thing needed but for the presence of Jesus in love and prayer, in spirit and in truth, as you all learn His ways, walking closer with Him. So will our Light shine, as a 'city on a hill'.

Hello Guest,

I have had similar things happen to me and found myself feeling very much as you do. In my case however I finally recognized that God was speaking to me through these things to show me my own heart. I was more concerned with my feelings, comfort and being fussed over than I was in serving the Lord. I was too sensitive and I easily got my feelings hurt or I saw things and motives that weren't even there. I felt like they owed me for all my work, tithes and faithful service. I was selfish. I'm not saying this is the case with you. I'm saying this was what I went through. I'm glad God showed me the truth about myself before I tried changing Churches. Is God trying to show you something through this situation?

I know how you feel. We went through the same kind of situation in our old church. We prayed about it and we were led to worship at another church. We are happier there and more blessed than ever. Pray and seek God, He will lead you where you need to be.

I really feel that you may need to go and see this lady. In love, explain how you felt. You may just find out that she was over busy that particular day, or was thinking on something else. But it gives her the opportunity of not only knowing how you feel, but the chance to ask you to forgive her. Man is going to always hurt you., They will let you down. Please do not let this put you off going to church.

Love and blessings,

Hello guest,

Well, Paul said that he dies daily [1 Corinthians 15:31] and it is so true. If we want to be successful in any ministry, we have to start our ministry by dying to ourselves. There will always be people who will put us down ... this is an imperfect world, but if we continue on, then we will receive our breakthrough.

Sometimes I do a lot and I feel like I have sacrificed a lot for God or for a group. Then, I will have people coming to me and putting me down for my efforts. I have learned obedience is better than sacrifice [1 Samuel 15:22], so I stop looking at my sacrifice which is not much compared to what God has done for me, and I tell God that He can depend on me to be obedient to His cause.

In the end, it is God that promotes me and that I am to please and not men. I know that you are not pleasing men but you are disappointed. Don't let the disappointment rob you of your blessings in God. If we focus on God, what men thinks of us will be so little and insignificant.

Father,

I pray that You encourage this guest and lift this guest up in this situation.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

[HEBREWS 10:35-36]--
[GALATIANS 6:9]--
[PHILLIPIANS 1:6]--
[PSALMS 138:7]--
I hope that these will help you. If you feel that this is where God wants you...do not let the world discourage you. Satan will always be right around the corner to snatch your blessing...Fight him with all your might...never let satan see your tears...God bless you.
