        Question for someone...

I have reall ybeen struggling lately on if I'm really going to heaven or not. I mean, yeah i accepted Jesus when I was like 4 or 5 but does that really count? I mean, later in my life i really seemeed to change. I've seemed to be on fire for God before, and I've been in like a big worship time , but I have a few quesiton if someone ocul danswer please...
*Can a non-believer have a taste or glimpse of God's glory during worship?
*How can i know for sure that I am going to heaven? OTher then the 'what would you say i fyou were going to heaven' qeustion thing.
Finally, *is there anyone out there who would like to be like email accountability partners?
I think I might just be back slidden and am saved but am just not on fire for the Lord at the moment. I think I might be able to become on fire for God and feel liek I am a christian and am going toheaven to be with God, if I read His Word more and study it more/pray more. What do you think?
Accountability is somethin that could help me with this...if anyone wants to be an accountabiblty partner please let me know. Someone please help me with this problem...i'm really needing an answer....thank you.....

Hi there guest,

[John 3] tells us that we must be born again. to be born again, we repent of our sins (say sorry) and ask Jesus into our hearts. If you have done that then you are saved. Backslidden, if you have turned your back and walked away and allowed sins to remain in your life, but that can be corrected, by confessing our sins [1 John 1:9]. He will cleanse you and accept you back.

I too would be happy for you to email me any time that you feel you need to. I am female, and been saved for about 22 years. I have been through many trials but God has always been faithful. I have 6 children and 6 grand children. christiandeb44@hotmail.com

I hope(to exceedingly epecxt)I have an answer! First, I will be more than happy to be your accountability peer! Second, we all struggle. I am 40 and have been only walking with the Lord for 18 months. It has been an intense 18 months. My mentor has been a Christian for about twenty years and I lamented at about six months that if I only had walked with the Lord twenty years ago when I accepted Him as an adult how much further I'd be. He told me, "Ross I have been with you every step of the way with your walk in the last six months and I know Christians who never reach where you are at this point. Don't look back!"

It is great that you are saved! For the 1st year I was saved I heard this voice that constantly said that I wasn't saved, I was questioning my salvation! I am a member of a very strong Spirit filled church and I have felt the unspeakable joy of the Lord, I have felt the Holy Spirits presence in praise & worship. The very first day I walked into Speak The Word Church I was overwhelmed - like the rush of the wind with Gods presence. I had never felt that before. But yet I was questioning my salvation, one day after I heard this voice telling me I wasn't saved - came this still sweet small voice and it said, "Ross, if you were not saved you would have never heard a voice questioning your place as my son. You are saved and don't you ever forget it. I have a plan for you."

Saint, you might be backslidden but that is up to you. Stepforward and put yourself back in the will of God. I can only surmise from what you have said here and it is all I have to go by - you have only stumbled - not backslidden! You give to much credit to satan and not enough credit to God. We all fall short of the Glory Of God Our Father - we don't pray enough - read enough - whether we pray five minutes or two hours, whether we read 10 chapters a day or 40. We all are in different stages and called to be going down different paths. Be where God wants you to be right now, today and every day after and you will be where He wants you be for every day for the rest of your life!

Father God in heaven I call upon you to help this saint to realize that we are not always where we need to be with you! Father let this saint call upon your strength that you gave them when they were born again, you gave us all we need at that moment! Father let this saint know that their salvation is secure and that their name is written in the Lambs Book of Life! I ask this in Your Son, this saints Savior and my saviors name - Amen
