   Prayer Requests:
        A Fresh Anointing

I would like prayer for a fresh anointing. I want to walk so close to the Lord that others always see Jesus in me. I want to be blessed to be a blessing both in my local church and on these sites. Sometimes I feel so inadequate. I know if I walk closer to God and i realise the cost, then I can be a better vessel for His love and comfort to flow through.

Thank you.

Hello Daphne,

I've been listening to a tape on covenant recently and I've been reminded again and again that we are in a covenant of grace. Not something that we deserve. Not just for our salvation but for our daily walk and for our ministry to Him. God chooses imperfect people to do great things for Him. Remember Gideon. God called Gideon a mighty warrior and Gideon's reply was:

[Judges 6:15]
"But Lord," Gideon asked, "how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family." (NIV)

That was what God wanted. The more imperfect and talented we are, the more God can enable us and the more His glory can be shown through us. Sometimes we fail to see that and feel inadequate because we feel less talented.

One of the ways to define anointing is also grace to do something. When God gives you a ministry, He will give you the anointing to do it.

[2 Timothy 2:2]
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many
witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who
shall be able to teach others also.

God wants us to be faithful first, then we will be able. That is why, I have changed my mindset in serving God. I tell God now that if God gives me something, I will be obedient irregardless of how I feel, because I know that obedience is better than sacrifice.

You have been a faithful prayer warrior here faithfully praying for others. And I know that "that" is also called anointing.

Father in heaven,

I thank You for Daphne and her burning desire to do more for You. I pray that You grant her the desires of her heart and fill her with a fresh and new level of anointing. I pray that You help her be a testimony of Your grace and power.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
