| A prayer request from South Mississippi---My name is Greg, and for about the last year, my mother has been unemployed, for health related reasons. But she has been seeking monetary hand outs which have not been easy for me, my brother, or my sister to send. Mom has been smoking for most of her life, and in my heart, I knew where most of any monies would go, and it wouldn't be for rent, utilities or groceries, but for the smokes. My sister is married and is raising three preschool aged children. My brother--well, that is the other part of this request. Any way, my mom's side of the family has turned away from us to a great extent. I just would pray that Mom would understand that her children do not hate her or not want to help, but we are trying to do for ourselves. As I said my brother is the other part of this request. Last Friday, he quit a job, which was paying him $11/hour. He's been sick for a while, but I think that this time, it has some mental overtones with it. He was staying in a house with his girl friend, and apparently, was not getting any attention, and even maybe wanted morre than she was willing to give. So he up and left, and possibly went back to his second wife, about four hours away. He has acquired a sort of violent streak,where he could be considered dangerous. I pray for his safety, and that somehow, he would remember that there is a God Who loves and cares for him, and that I should have taken more opportunities to witness and share with him.
