(01/31/2000) Sacrifices of thanksgiving


hello prayer partners, 1. Prayer Note: Giving thanks [Psalms 107:22] And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing. [John 6:11] And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. We covered the sacrifices of praise. In the midst of our troubles, we praise Him and that is why we call it sacrifices of praise. The same goes with thanksgiving. These are also called sacrifices of thanksgiving. It may not be easy to give thanks when things are not looking up, but it is when things are not looking up in the natural, that we are to look up and give thanks. Try it, when we pray, come before Him and thank Him first. For everything and for the situation. This, according to Marilyn Hickey, is the key to unlocking the supernatural and the key to miracles. Prayer update ephlee has requested for us to pray for his uncle's salvation(his uncle's name is Soon Lee). He will be visiting his uncle on 4th February, which is pretty soon. Please pray for Seth. This from a lady in another online group (Roses of Sharon) I am part of - My dear ROS sisters, I am calling on you all today with a sense of urgency. Please pray for my sister's son. Actually, he is not her son but she is raising him and has had him for the last 5 yrs. This is very long but please read it! Seth is 7 yrs. old. He was premature...born when mother was only 4 1/2 mos. along. He was born without fingernails and even his skin was not completely formed over his whole body. His lungs did not develop enough and of course, they said he wouldn't live. He did live and has struggled his whole 7 yrs. of life. My sister is not saved and she stays away from me because of my relationship with God. She called me this morning to ask for prayer for Seth. Seems Seth has been very sick and they have now found out that he has CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) and COP. She didn't know what COP is and I don't either. Something about his lungs are being eaten away. Also was diagnosed last week as bipolar. This little boy has suffered his entire life. He has been on oxygen for the last year. Kids at school made fun of him for having to lug his 02 tank to school. Seth wants to die. Please pray for him. The doctor's give no hope. He is not strong enough to survive any surgery. Please pray that my sister can be ministered to also. I have a special request for Seth. He can't get out of the house. He is so isolated for the last year. Would you dear ladies please pass this along to everyone you know and send Seth a card to let him know others do care about him? He's only 7 and his favorite song is "Don't Laugh at Me" because his illness makes him different and kids havee been so cruel. He thinks no one loves him and that God doesn't love him either.
