Prayer Email archive: (07/31/2000) law of offering |
Hello prayer warriors,
1. Prayer note: law of offering [2 Corinthians 9:6] But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. One of the keys to experiencing enduring prosperity is the law of offering. What lies beyond our tithes is our offerings. The law of offering determines the measure we receive. I am not a farmer but I heard that the first thing the farmer does is set aside part of the harvest as grain for the next harvest. How much you expect from the next harvest is also determined by how much you sow back into the land. The more you sow back into the land, the more you will receive. If you have not been tithing, give offerings when you feel comfortable tithing. Give according to your level of faith. Ask God to reveal to you how much to give and to what cause. Our tithes are to be placed back into the storehouse from which we receive spiritual food. If you receive spiritual food from your local church, give back to your local church. Like what my pastor says, "Don't eat at Kentucky and pay at McDonalds!" Our offerings can be placed into whichever cause that God places in our hearts. Pray for God to reveal this in your heart that you may be able to sow specifically and give according to your level of faith because God loves a cheerful giver. [2 Corinthians 6:7] Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2. New prayer requests: i.
