1. Prayer note: firstfruit offerings [Proverbs 3:9-11] 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. (NIV) I became a Christian when I was 15. For a year I attended church and no one told me about tithing. After a year, a brother-in-Christ told me about tithing. I thought to myself "How can I tithe when I don't have enough at the end of the month?". I get a fixed allowance from my dad and after deducting the bus fares and the meals, I don't have any left even as savings. I went to one of my classmates and told her my predicament. She told me to give first and not wait till the end of the month. That must have been the best advice anyone had given me on tithing. So, I gave at the beginning of the month and thought of how I would make do for the rest of the month. The next month, my father gave me triple my allowance because he got a promotion and a raise. God is the One who sees and He is the One who honours our faith and receives our first-fruit offering and He will be the One who fill our barns to overflowing. Give first and not wait until the end of the month because our giving also has to be in faith. 2. New prayer requests: i. Contentment -- joeljohnson Pray for my contentment in where He has put me in His will. Pray also for my wife to seek Him and for satan to be bound in Jesus name from tempting her in worldly pleasures. Lord I ask You to place Your healing hand on me Lord. Lord I ask You to guide me, carry me Lord through whatever healing the doctor sees fit. Lord You are my Doctor, so Lord I ask You to walk with me through surgery or be there with me to take my medicine. Lord whichever way You see fit, Lord I ask You to touch me.
