[Habakkuk 2:2-3] 2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. The NIV version uses the word revelation instead of vision. When we receive a word, an impression or a mental image in our minds, many times God is giving us a revelation or a vision. Something is birthed in our hearts and many times God tells us things in the future. This is the seed for what is to come because many of God's promises in our lives are conditional to us accepting and acting on them by faith. So, after we have withdrawn, waited and watched, we should write. My pastor used a phrase which I like... the shortest pencil is the longest memory. We write so that we can remember, when things are going tough, we can reflect back on what God has told us and continue on our journey by faith holding on to His promises in our life until they come to pass. 2.
