(04/26/2002) Entering into His presence


Hello prayer warriors, 1. Prayer note: Entering into His presence I was in my church the other day with a small group of people and we were praying in the spirit. I haven't really been at my best with God. I haven't done the numbers, prayed every day and I did not feel particularly close to God. As we were praying, I focused on God and heard again this small voice that said that I do not need to work to be loved by Him, I am already loved. And that I need to come to Him as His daughter and nothing else. Yes, sometimes we say, "I want to be Your servant Lord" but before that we need to sit at His feet and understand that we are His, held by His love and we are secure in Him. When we lean on His love, as my pastor recently expounded on, everything else will fall into place. Jesus came to fulfill the law that we could never fulfill and He became the end of the law for those of us who believe. [Romans 10:4] For Christ is the END of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. How do I become righteous? By believing in Him. God has sent His Son and exchanged His righteousness with mine. I am righteous because I have His righteousness. What does righteousness mean? It means right standing with God. But it means more than that. When Jesus hung on the Cross for us, He bore all our sins, all our pain, all our diseases but more than that He bore our rejection. I've heard that the greatest pain in the world is the pain of rejection. Jesus was rejected on the Cross by our Father God. All throughout the gospels, Jesus called God "His Father". He was the Son of God. It was only at the Cross when Jesus first called God as only "God". [Matthew 27:46] And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? He was rejected so that we might be accepted but not just accepted as anybody, but accepted as a son/daughter of God. So, how do we come before Him and enter into His presence? By realising that we are accepted. Angels know Him as a "holy" God but we know Him now as Father God. [1 John 4:10] In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Let us come before Him, not so much on the basis of how much we love Him, but how much He loves us. 2. Prayer requests: Note: Guys and gals.
