Hello prayer warriors, 1. Prayer note: where to find happiness? [Psalm 37:3-4] 3 Trust in the Lord and do good; live in the land and be safe. 4 Seek your happiness in the Lord, and He will give you your heart's desire. (TEV) God has given me so much in my life. Many times, more than I can ask for. Yet, there are times when I feel unhappy. Everything can be looking bright but when one area of my life doesn't work out the way I wanted to, I become unhappy and everything seems to look bleak again. Instead of yo-yo dieting, I experience yo-yo happiness :) Yet, each time when I throw my tantrums at God, He is so patient. There was one of these times recently when I was unhappy. I calmed myself down and went to read my favorite bible chapter [Psalm 37]. I took up Today's English Version (which I don't frequently use) and God ministered to me. He gave me a whole new way of looking at [Psalm 37:4]. I've always read it as "Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (KJV)" Suddenly, I saw this scripture in a completely new light: "4 Seek your happiness in the Lord, and He will give you your heart's desire. (TEV)" If I was to look for my happiness in any other area other than God, that happiness would not last. Things pass away, even people leave us due to circumstances, positions don't last, but one thing is constant and that one person is God. If I was to look any other place, I will not be completely satisfied. But God, He completely satisfies :) So, when things don't look so bright sometimes, just switch your focus off those things and switch your focus to God. Trust in Him. Seek your happiness in Him. Change your perspective and the way you look at things. God has promised in His Word: You can trust in Him, continue to do good, live in this land that God has given you and be safe.
