        (07/02/2001) what shall you reap?

Hello prayer warriors,

1. Prayer note: what shall you reap?

[Galatians 6:7]
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a
man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Sometimes we sow in one area and expect a harvest in
another. We might invest all our energy, even to a
worthy cause, like our ministry, and expect to reap in
other areas such as our relationships with our family,
our health, etc.

We need to remember this principle: GOD IS NOT MOCKED,
what we sow we shall reap. Sometimes we deceive
ourselves and say that all is well as long as I focus
on ministry, or focus on my work and neglect all else.
We have not used the principle of sowing and reaping
to our advantage or maybe we just haven't understood.

You have to sow in every area of your life. If you
want a happy marriage, sow into your marriage. If you
want finances, sow into the kingdom of God and be
diligent in your work.

[Proverbs 10:4]
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but
the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

We cannot expect to sow in one or two areas and expect
to reap in others. The most important part of
[Galatians 6:7] that we all probably miss out is "Be
not deceived". Don't deceive yourself. You have to sow
into your health if you want to be healthy. Exercise,
eat right, have enough sleep. Even ministers do that
because they understand the principle. Our bodies are
what we make of it. Our relationships are what we make
of it. Our finances are what we make of it. If you
lack in any of these areas, examine yourself, ask God
for wisdom and start doing up a list and prioritising.
Make a conscious effort to sow into every area by
planning and setting aside time to do the important
things. Until we make up our minds to do so, we will
just let life and the momentum of life, or what is
urgent and perhaps not so important in the long term
dominate our lives. Then, when different parts of our
lives fall apart, we ask ourselves why? The reason is
simple ... do not be deceived, God is not mocked: for
what you sow, you shall reap.
