        (05/28/2001) seedtime and harvest
Hello prayer warriors,

1. Prayer note: seedtime and harvest

We've been talking about dominion. One of the first
things that God gave to Adam was dominion. To recap,
God created order from chaos. God created us to have
dominion, to maintain order and subdue chaos. We only
need order when there are things to be subdued.

One of the keys of dominion is prayer. To subdue chaos
in our lives, we need to proclaim God's authority over
the situation and stand on His Word. We need to
recognise that we have the authority to bring order
into our lives. Situations in our lives will have to
submit to what God's Word says and by what we claim
over our lives in prayer.

The second key to dominion is in the following verse:
[Genesis 8:22]
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and
cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and
night shall not cease.

While the earth remains, and it still remains today,
we see cold and heat, summer and winter, day and
night. We cannot escape these elements. However, there
are two elements in this scripture that we as humans
can drive and that is the elements of seedtime and
harvest, or what we commonly know as the law of sowing
and reaping. While the earth remains, the law of
seedtime and harvest is still be in operation.

How does this affect us? Well, there are times in
which we exercise dominion in our lives through prayer
and there are other times that we exercise dominion in
our lives through seed-time and harvest, or through
both these keys.

For example, I was recently suffering from prolonged
coughing. For seven weeks, I have been coughing and
coughing. I've seen the doctor four times and have
taken four courses of antibiotics. The condition did
not improve. I believe in divine healing and that God
has healed me on the Cross but at the same time, I use
the law of seedtime and harvest to plant seeds for my
health. Instead of seeing the doctor again, I started
taking health supplements almost daily, such as
Vitamin C, pycnogenol, echinecia, etc. I started
drinking less coffee and sleeping more. I started
exercising more. I started sowing into my health. I am
using one of the keys that God has given me to get
back dominion over my health.

We need to understand this law of seedtime and harvest
and use it in our lives. Every day that we plant
seeds, we are creating order and subduing chaos, and
we are ensuring that there is continuous harvest in
our lives. This law can be used not only in our
health, but in our relationships, in our finances and
other area of our lives.

Do you know what is the interesting part of this? What
happens when we stop planting seeds? If you stop
planting seeds, one day you will wake up and find out
that there is no more harvest. Everything moves to
chaos when left by itself. Chaos grows on us. If you
don't tend to a field, weeds will grow. If you don't
maintain your house, it will not only be in a mess,
but cob-webs will grow and dust will accumulate. If
you don't maintain your car, it will break down. If
you don't take care of your body, your health will
deteriorate. Well, you get the point.

If you find chaos creeping up in your life, don't
worry. There are always things that you can do to
reverse chaos and maintain order. God has given us
another key. Besides praying and claiming God's Word
through prayer, ask God for wisdom and start planting
