Prayer Email archive: (05/08/2001) allowing and disallowing |
Hello prayer warriors,
1. Prayer note: allowing and disallowing [Matthew 18:18] Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. We talked about dominion. That is one of the first things that God gave to the first man, Adam. Adam, through his sin, gave the dominion away to satan. The second Man, Jesus, took back that authority and teaches us how to utilise it. We just need to recognize that authority and know that we have the keys to that authority. Our prayer and the words of our mouth is powerful. One of the reasons why we pray is because we recognize that authority and claim God's authority over a situation. The other thing we need to recognize is that how blessed we are and how we live is a matter of our will. How yielded are we to His Word? Discouragement is a choice. Abundant life is a choice. We cannot control everything that happens to us but we can control how we react to the situation. We have a choice! [Deuteronomy 30:19] I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Why is it that some Christians are more blessed than others? Although I believe in seasons of sowing and reaping, of sorrow and joy, I also believe that we have to learn the principles of His Word. Given two choices, between life and death, we have to choose life. [Proverbs 18:21] Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. [Hebrews 4:14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession (confession). [Proverbs 23:7] For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.. If we are to have dominion, we've got to change what we allow and disallow in our lives. We've got to disallow negative words and negative thoughts to come into our lives to destroy us (we shall eat the fruit thereof). We've got to know that Jesus is our High Priest, but He is the High Priest of our CONFESSION. The authority and dominion that God has given us is in our hands and is in our WILL. The keys to dominion is is in what we allow and disallow in our lives. Disallow bad thoughts and words and start allowing positive thoughts and words to come into your life. Whatever you bind shall be bound and whatever you loose shall be loose. That is what dominion means. 2. Special request: The prayer forum used to have a few regular prayer warriors praying for the requests on the site. I know that many are praying off-site, at home. However, it greatly encourages the person who submitted a prayer request to read the prayer items of others who go to the site and pray for the request. If you feel led, please take time to go to the site and pray for someone on the site. 3. New prayer requests: i.
