(12/28/2000) vision or resolution?


Hello prayer warriors? 1. Prayer note: vision or resolution? A new year is coming. Some look at the new year as just another year and some may even dread the new year. How do we look forward to the new year? Many do this by having new year resolutions. I suggest that instead of resolution we ask God for vision. What is the difference? Resolution is something that you decide you want to do to have some change in your life. Many of us create new year resolutions and try to fulfill them with our own strength. Vision is something that you ask God for. You can have your own desires but ask God to align them to His perfect will and pray to find out whether they are in His perfect will. Ask Him for new desires that are in line with His Word. [Proverbs 29:18] Where there is no vision, the people perish The actual Hebrew words should translate this as a progressive vision. God IS going to make things better for you in the coming year. You need to have the capacity to see it as a progressive vision: nothing that is regressive but everything that is progressive. Always have positive expectation because our God is a BIG God and nothing is impossible with Him. [Habakkuk 2:1-3] 1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. 2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. What should we do now? Take time away to be alone to pray. Stand on your own watchtower and ask God for revelation and for vision. Once you have received your vision, write the vision into your heart by visualising and by placing your faith and hope that it will come to pass by God's grace. Then, write them down in a book and run with the vision for the whole of the new year. This is very important, do not underestimate what a progressive vision can do to your life. You can only stop looking backward when you are busy looking forward to what God has in store for you. Happy new year prayer warriors and may God's blessings overtake you for this new year. 2. New prayer requests: i. Prayers needed -- bina (Judy was hospitalised recently, to read more, please read on site). First I must say, God is in complete control of any & all situations, I thank Him & praise Him for His presence! This morning Judy is still with us, Ashtene (her granddaughter) had a good visit with her Mammie last night. The doctor's administered a lower dose of morphine & Judy awoke, knew everyone who was with her, & all sang Amazing Grace. For my walk to grow stronger with the Lord -- guest Pray for me & my walk concerning God!! I am trying to grow with the Lord, by prayer and fasting! Sometimes it hard, I am a single parent, I work, & do just about everything around the house. I have a desire to get closer to the Lord! I want to be committed to him. Prayer for a friend in darkness -- guest This friend is gay or homosexual, has a good heart, but unfortunately she is in the dark. I am requesting prayer that God will touch her heart. That she will be saved & delivered from this terrible force of homosexuality. She doesn't realize what damage she is causing to her son by living this type of lifestyle. I cannot judge or condemn her, I can only pray for her, I know God as a healer, a deliverer, a miracle worker. He has a bad eye that recently another infection set in to. It has been getting worse & we have scheduled him a dr. appointment. However, after we called the dr. he called me back from work to let me know that something bad had happened. His eye had a popping feeling, flooded with tears, & then everything went black in that eye. He did have some vision in that eye, but now he has none. When the eye first went bad we stood on the belief that GOD was reversing the condition in his eye as it was doing the same thing it did when it went bad. He has been needing a cornea transplant in that eye. We believe GOD is our GREAT PHYSICIAN & believe in COMPLETE healing & restoration of vision in his left eye.
