(04/29/2000) in line with His character

hello prayer warriors,

1. prayer note: in line with His character

[James 1:16-17]
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from
above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with
whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

We've covered hearing from God and validating God's
voice against His Word, what does His Word say about
it? God will not tell us something that contradicts
His Word. Another thing that God will not tell us is
something that is against His character.

What does the Bible say about the character of God our
Father or the character of Christ. EVERY good gift and
EVERY perfect gift is from above. What about the
converse? Does God give us bad gifts, does He punish
us with sickness or torture us with bad gifts because
He wants us to learn? God may discipline us or teach
us, but does He send us bad gifts? What does the Bible
say?

[John 10:10-11]
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to
kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have
life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth
his life for the sheep.

Remember the story of Job, even though God sometimes
allow things to happen to us, but He is not the One
who is behind it. He is the good shepherd and never
the thief that comes to destroy us. So, if we hear
from God and we hear Him telling us that He wants to
punish us with sickness because we did this and that
in our past, or He is sending us all these sufferings
and calamities, we know that this is not the voice of
God. Because God will not tell us something that is
against His character. He is the Father of lights and
Jesus came to give us life and life abundantly.

If we hear condemnation, negative things, or if what
we hear bring fear into our lives, we can safely
renounce these and proclaim His Word of His abundant
life.

[John 8:32]
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make
you free.

ii. husband -- taby810
My husband is going through a very hard spiritual
battle. The enemy is trying to tell him that he has no
more chances with God. He has an evangelistic calling
on his life. Please pray that God shows him that the
enemy is lying to him. I have listened to the leading
of God and it is PRAY! PRAY! PRAY!
God Bless each and every one of you for your
prayers!!!

3. Continue to pray for:
i. pray for healing -- tillyotoole
I have a boyfriend who is a quadraplegic. His name is
Dartanier Patton. He was injured in a diving accident.
He wasn't saved at the time, but now is. We are
believing the Lord for total and complete healing.
Please join us in praying for this. We stay in the
word and know that healing is always God's will. We
stand and hold fast to his promises. He has improved
slowly over time, but has a long way to go. He
receives therapy now but never did before. We know
that God is faithful.
Also, I am his sole provider and sometimes this gets
to be too much. He can't really do anything for
himself. I have to do a lot of physical lifting as
well as manage the household and tend to him . Please
pray for strength, mentally and physically for me. We
will endure until the end.
