Hello prayer warriors, 1. Prayer note: knowing the real you [Deuteronomy 29:29] The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. We have been talking about knowing the will of God through studying the Word. What is revealed belong to us and to our children FOR EVER. We can claim all the promises in the Word because they have been revealed to us and God has given them to us already. What happens if we want to know a specific will, e.g. which job to take, what car to drive, etc.? [1 Corinthians 2:11-14] 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, except the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. The real us, which knows the things in our heart and which communicates with God is our spirit man. It is not our natural man, not our minds or our emotions but our spirit man. [Proverbs 20:27] The spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD, searching all the inner depths of his heart. So, many times to make a decision, we need to seek God, not with our minds (what we think, what others say, etc.) or with our emotions (what we feel) but ask God for the inner witness which only comes when we are in touch with our inner man. And as I have mentioned before the inner witness is one of the easiest way to hear from God. It is this light that turns on inside of us, that gives us this deep inner peace when we think of a right decision or gives us this great inner unrest when we think of a wrong decision. So, the next time before you jump to a conclusion, come before God and present your request before God and ask God for the inner witness and follow the peace in your heart. [Philippians 4:6-7] 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 2. New prayer requests: i. She is having some problems with doubt & may be in bondage. Pray for Susan. She needs to accept Jesus. I asked if she would like if i led her in prayer she denied but she knows a bit about the bible & wants her life to change. it is sort of strange but i ask that you'd pray for her to be led unto salvation. Also to find a church that the Lord wants her to go where she can have support & be discipled, counseled. --Brandon P.S. she gave me permission to give her email out. She is a senior & may not walk again. 2. Kevin Heitbrinch, a junior who was injured while playing in the football game. He will not be able to return to school until the next semester. 3. two guys who were shot in a drive by with 3 other. These two i go to school with. Pray for me & the other students in my school.
