   Verse Questions:
        Revelation 1:8

I am curious about why this verse is in red in my bible. The wording seems to be talking about god, not Jesus. We looked up the Greek and it seems to have the same wording as other similar passages in Revelation where it is taken to be God speaking. The Dakes says this is the only place where Jesus refers to himself as "the Almighty" in Revelation. In 22:13 he refers to himself as the alpha and omega, but it is much more clear that Jesus is speaking here. I understand that Jesus and God are so close that both words could describe them both, I am just curious as to how they decided this was Jesus saying this, this particular time. Anyway, I like this verse because it reminds me that Jesus and God have it all under control.
