Verse Questions: Genesis 1:2 |
It says God moved upon the face of the waters, but he didn't create the waters for a few more days. So... how does that work? | |

If we read carefully Gen 1:6 tells us that God "divided" the waters, not created. The waters were already there, and since God is the only Creator, then he must have created the water in Gen 1:1 where He created the heavens and the earth. In fact there could be a gap of billions of years between Gen 1:1 and 1:2. Which is actually a very credible understanding of the Bible. During that gap was when the fall of Satan and other beings occured among other things. |
