   Verse Questions:
        Exodus 34:26

IN OUR WED NIGHT BIBLE STUDY WE HAVE BEEN ASKED TO RESEARCH WHY THE LORD HAD THE SECTION "THOU SHALT NOT SEETHE A KID IN HIS MOTHER'S MILK." AND WHY IT WAS SET APART FROM THE REST OF THE VERSE I KNOW IT IS NOT SET APART HERE BUT IN THE ACTUAL BIBLE IT IS SET APART FROM THE FIRST PART OF THE VERSE. MY THOUGHT WAS THAT MAYBE IT WAS SET APART BECAUSE OF THE IMPORTANCE OF THE QUOTE AS ONE OF THE LAWS THAT MOSES WAS TOLD TO WRITE DOWN. ANOTHER QUESTIONS IS WHY WAS IT EVEN INCLUDED? HELP????? ANYONE HAVE ANY THOUGHTS?

I believe the spirit of this word is that we should never kill (in a spiritual sense) immature believers with the milk of the word [1Pet2:2], which should be for nourishing believers. In other words, use Gods word to impart life whenever possible, do not use it to slay others as is the practice of some.

"Kid" is an american word for child. But just remember it's the word for a baby goat. Don't boil a baby goat in it's mother's milk.
