oh yes, i dont believe that you have to be baptized to be saved, we are saved by grace....not by works of rightouesness! the law was given to show us we are sinners but but now we are justifiedby grace tgrough jesus christ our lord....if not then his death served no purpose.....he is the lamb of god who take away the sins of the world..it is by grace that you are saved so that no man can boast!

wow. what a debate.....i am sure you will hear many differing opinions here. i believe that faith sets us apart from the law....i also believe that baptism is an outward sgn of inward faith and profession of our christian faith......it is to die with christ (our sinful nature) going into the water and then to symbylize the ressurection as a new creature in christ,(the comeing out of the water) if you are convicted in being baptized i say do it!.....if u r still unsure then pray on it....but like i said earlier you may get many differing opinions here.

It says in Romans 3:28, "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Baptism is a command of Jesus, and so is a law, and we are justified (saved) by faith apart from the law. We do not have to be baptized to be saved, and don't ever let anyone tell you you do.

Just go ahead and get baptized Guest. : ) Please do not waste precious time. Jesus wants you to mimic the resurrection like him and he wants you to confess him before men in that way. Don't worry whether others who say they were saved, but did not get baptized are really saved or not. Now is you're time. I see no reason why you contemplate postponing this decision.

You do not become a Christian by any works. It is simply by faith. Therefore, to be a Christian, you must place your faith in Jesus....believe and accept the gift of salvation that he gave on the cross. Jesus calls Christians to be baptized after they believe, however it is not required for salvation.
