   Verse Questions:
        Matthew 18:18

I do not fully understand this verse. Does it speak of the "bonds" and relationships made with fellow christians, or of an actions performed as a christian. i.e. leading someone to Christ or the church?

Hello guest,

There is a similar verse in [Matthew 16:19] which says "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. "

I believe that this speaks of the authority that Jesus has given us on earth. We have the power to bind and loose by our words. If you read [Matthew 18:19] which is a continuance of the verse, it says that when we "agree" on earth touching anything that we will ask, it shall be done. It shows the authority that Christ has given to us.

That is my interpretation.
